My best guess would be Texas, but, it doesn’t matter a ton
I’m not entirely sure how it works, but there’s this thing that I (personally) refer to as “latent infamy”. For example, if I hit a wall to break it I don’t technically have infamy but if I then walk past a tower within a few seconds/steps/notrealysure that tower will start shooting at me and give me infamy. This lead to my death once, too, I was breaking down an old base and someone hit me, not really meaning to kill me, and I ran right towards a tower bank which wiped out the rest of my hitpoints
so, my best guess is that you hit a wall before you teleported and while you didn’t have visible infamy the game still counted it and once you neared the towers they hit you. I have no idea if this is intentional or a bug, I figure its probably intentional (people hitting walls *should* get shot at by nearby towers, even if those towers weren’t originally in range) but not acting in a way that one would expect.
Noticed this more often after a recent update
Me too, actually, I’ve seen it many times before but lately far more often. Its still just visual but it had me thinking some towers fell due to the way they lined up
While its not impossible it was a bug, many people think normal game mechanics are bugs so there could be more to it.
For one, how old was the door? If it was a new door it would have been easy to break, same goes for any walls that you may have just built.
also, you said he destroyed loot – there’s no real way to destroy loot in this game, do you mean he picked it up and took it?
Is it possible that the door he broke was touching a wall he built?
Not to blame you, but there are other possibilities that should be ruled out. Poorly built bases don’t withstand raiders well, bases with nature tiles, road tiles, etc. are easy for anyone to get into with a bit of planning.
I agree, on a bad day that’s where the pkers hang out, I wouldn’t want to buy something and then have to run for my life 🙂
I’m not entirely sure what you mean about the underground, but walls work like this (if this helps):
If you place a single wall block you can break it in about 4 hits. There’s a brief time period where that single wall piece is weak and others can take it out quickly too (I think its 5 minutes, someone should correct me though). Otherwise someone else would have to beat on it for a while.
If you place a single wall piece that touches someone else’s wall (possibly what you mean by “older wall”?) you can break your wall piece in about 4 hits. The owner of the other wall can also break your wall piece in about four hits. Everyone else (unless they hit it as soon as you put it up) will have to take it out with a hammer or weapon more slowly.
For this reason, people should not build touching other people’s walls unless they’re certain that person is not coming back, or they don’t care whether someone breaks in to the area they’ve walled off.
+1, though not super high priority this would be great
+1 to locks, I tend to forget about them (and now that I’ve said that I guess I better use some lol)
The disorient spell swaps your position with the person, dog, or monster standing in front of you. If you are standing in your doorway and someone else walks up and stands in front of you, they can easily swap places with you and get into your market house. This spell is really helpful when your dog is in your way (turn pvp off first) or you are trapped in by a swarm of monsters, but not so helpful when it comes to people using it to get through your door. People can also “piggyback” behind you in situations where only a single door is available.
This does make market houses somewhat insecure imho and one of a few reasons I’ve never had one. You’re far better off to build a hut in wellington with two doors on it, or a house with towers and double doors in galebrook. If you’d prefer living in market square then avoid walking through your door if someone is in front of it, in general.
It’s a challenge to keep up that level of detail as prices can fluctuate and vary by servers. There’s a wiki online that has some pricing information already though, and there’s also occasionally price lists and other details posted to the Mystera Legacy discord server.
the towers are still working even if the graphics are a bit off, I have a lot of towers, mine do this often but it always clears up
its a neat idea, I’d also be happy if it just defaulted to Ancient instead of any other perk though, at least then I could get to the higher level healing faster
From the user guide on this page:
Your top skill for reincarnating is determined by how much (yellow star) skill experience you have, with a slight penalty for existing blue stars in that skill. Meaning you may need a slightly higher level in that skill versus other skills, to attain it as your top skill again.
From the Wiki for Mystera Legacy, which is a little clearer (and goes on at length about this, just put “wiki mystera” in a search engine then click on the Reincarnation Guide):
Determining Your Highest Skill
Your highest skill is determined by total experience (blue stars give none).
Each blue star adds 20K experience to beat skills with less (or no) blue stars.
The rest of the XP requirement also goes up 11% per blue star.Congratz, that’s it! Just subtract out 20K per blue star, either multiply or divide by 1.11 to the appropriate power depending on how many blue stars are in the skills you’re comparing, and then add back in 20K per blue star if the skill you’re comparing to has any. If the skill you’re comparing to has more blue stars you multiply, if less divide.
I ran into this same circumstance when trying to get second exploration star, my cooking was at 28 and I had to get exploration to past level 30 before it was my top skill. You just have to keep clicking that reincarnation button to check what your highest skill is before you commit to anything, eventually it will roll over if you keep getting xp in the one you want.
If he blocked your house in use the contact form. If he’s just touching your walls I doubt anyone cares
