the answer to this is not really set in stone, its going to depend on the player, you kind of have to think about what your goals are. I meant to start out as a reincarnator but ended up ascending because I had gotten some skills so high I felt bad re-rerolling them, then realized a few months later that I was kind of bored just plugging along with whatever and started reincarnating just to mix it up somewhat. I have a limited amount of time to play so reincarnations are somewhat slow, and it took me some time to gather up enough low level gear with high ancient stats to boost the xp gains, but overall I’m happier reincarnating. That said, I enjoy the social and skill aspects of the game more than fighting.
The upside to being a recinarnator if you’re a fighter is that when you DO end up fighting someone, they can’t take those levels you worked so hard for away from you. This takes patience and time, however, and if you want to be able to use the best gear and be effective in a battle you have to be a high level and you’ll get there faster if you ascend. there are a lot of people who do both – they have one ascender character and one reincarnating character.
wow @CAPS
while a dummy you can shoot at for archery is a great idea, as a tip in the meantime I get my archery while getting my exploration, just run around wellington and shoot everything that moves as you go by
there’s only a couple hidden spots where its a single lane so I don’t see an actual problem here, its like when there’s a tree in the road, except that you can’t actually chop it down so you just go around it. if he is blocking something entirely, make sure you don’t have anything equipped when you try to push – even if he’s actively pushing back you’ve got a fair shot of moving him. getting more people to help push might help but sometimes that just maps people swap positions. if he’s actually idle I’m surprised nobody’s pushed him into the snake pit yet, I thought that was ‘the thing’ to do to people if they went afk near there 🙂
It seems far fetched that in the process of someone else abusing people on the server that your sister and you both got muted, logically it would seem impossible for this to happen but all anyone in forums can really do is speculate…. as it involves IPs, etc., is the sort of thing that only admin could really sort out for you so you should really submit a contact form for this so that you can try to provide whatever proof you may feel you have to show how it was that you were mysteriously affected by someone else being a jerk
Have any one try it ? I need a video
no one has tried this because this does not exist, he’s just proposing an idea for the future.
—Its a well thought out idea but it kind of turns the market on its head. Maybe something like just writing a few spells on paper (I have so much paper) would be better for use by new players, but most of us wouldn’t want to see people be able to write copies of existing books, so if there were implemented I think an entire new low level spell (super-dash to flee from pkers? ;)) might be needed

I don’t care about mounts much, we can just level our exploration and pretend at this point
Cats, naming pets, and storage would be awesome. Colored stone walls and maybe some flowers for aesthetics would be neat but might get blinding lol
January 19, 2019 at 8:15 am in reply to: Wellington is not save, all your stuff can be stolen. #13839If someone got in to your house you had nature tiles (road, dirt, grass) in there, use clay, wood, or stone floor tiles in your house to protect your items from despawning or being stolen
This message brought to you by the makers of floor tiles.I’m content with the quick buttons as they are, but have occasionally have meant to drop something and clicked on it from that menu before so I think I get where you’re coming from. I’m only on mobile, however, so maybe for mobile users a long hold on the quick button could drop it, or change the menu to the regular menu? it seems kind of trivial though, the other button isn’t that far away and I’ve gotten accustomed to it the way it is over time
In order to make myst wellington-only we’d basically need to have two types of myst. For those of us that find merit in both areas (i often use Wellington for exploration and fishing and kill things as i go) that wouldn’t be beneficial. Alternatively, some people who live in Wellington might want to gain myst in Galebrook or pvp areas but they then wouldnt be able to use that in Wellington. While I get that living in Wellington can be prohibitive I agree that that is kind of the point of that area, i don’t feel it was meant to be an isolated stand alone area for people who do not like pvp, it was meant to give new people the ability to get established in the game and get comfortable before expanding to the areas that most people live in.
In wellington you don’t need walls on a farm, just a house to store things in, and if repairs are getting expensive then downsizing would probably be wise. Floor tiles will protect your items from raids, its just a matter of keeping the footprint small to avoid expense.
As far as building in galebrook, you only need a basement if you aren’t going to have floor tiles in your house, people cannot rope in through floor tiles. Having any sort of nature tiles (roads, dirt, grass, water) near your items is dangerous anyway as they will decay other tiles and your items will start disappearing (even if nobody ropes in). If you’re planning on having a walled farm there’s some risk there, but at least on the server i’m on I’ve yet to hear of anyone roping into a farm just to kill a farmer. Towers cost 80 stone and 20 obsidian and one gold and generally are a decent deterrent and can be placed in farms as well. A solid small house with double walls and a row of towers will keep *most* people from raiding you unless you tend to make enemies of entire tribes.
Another option that most people take is to join a tribe that already has a tribe base, walls, towers, and a farm. You would have less autonomy in building but there’s a lot of power and safety in having like minded players around.
potatoes are a curse, the only possible upside I can think of to them is that as you pick them up it puts one more in your inventory, so in theory (though I have not tested this) if your inventory was full you’d start dropping them, and they’d basically plant themselves as soon as you pick one up (because you’re also dropping one of the ones you picked up)
the pain of having to drop them all later wouldn’t make up for this so I just avoid them now, the idea of self-planting might be worth testing for someone else but I’d rather plant carrots 🙂
The Wolf Cave area is non-pvp and not terrible once you learn where the dire wolves are, I’d suggest that you don’t take your best gear until you figure out the map though
I *think* parts of snake pit might be non-pvp, and all of Wellington is (though the worst monsters there are slimes and skeletons and it might get old fast). Depending on whether the UW is heavily travelled on your server you might have good odds of not being found down there as well.
type in a /chat command it will cause the chat to stay on your screen and scroll by instead of just showing up for a few seconds and then disappearing. If the width or text size is an issue I believe you can change that under your settings
I’m on a s7, but not edge, I feel like I’ve had this when I’ve left the screen, I look like I’m in and moving but I’m not really. Try closing the app and reopening
New moderation features are coming to help deal with this type of thing but in the meantime use /ignore to block it. If enough people ignore a troll they tend to get bored and wander off
