ok but I’m going to paint everything purple and I don’t care what the home owners association has to say about it!

to confirm/add to this:
I have *heard* (but not tested) that the movement speed is higher on stone than it is on wood, and that wood has a higher movement than clay. It would be easy to test it just hasn’t mattered much to me cuz stone is expensive so I haven’t bothered with it.
I expect that stone tiles are harder to dig out than wood/clay as well.
floor tiles do not decay if they’re enclosed within a structure, such as a wall or animal gates (or probably towers or doors, as well). floor tiles will only spontaneously disappear if they’re touching water, road, grass, or dirt (aka nature tiles).
While on this topic – if you ever open market stall make sure you put a tile under the stall as well. If you don’t the payment will despawn.
Fertilized eggs need to be on grass. Also chickens will only drop items on grass.
ha lol ITS ALL A BUG. But seriously Graylion if you are carrying too much weight items will drop out of your inventory. There should be system message telling you you’re burdened. There’s great info about how to fix this and many, many other things if you click on the guide link from the top of this website
+1, its hard to tell the difference between the health bars of inanimate objects like walls and the player, as well. at least, i find that to be the case on a small phone screen
ive seen the glitch where there are items embedded in walls randomly (that were not there before), but nothing weird about firepits, its definitely out of the ordinary that you could move something like that
June 11, 2018 at 12:54 pm in reply to: Robbed in Wellington. No walls destroyed but all of my stuff gone. No walls gone #8111The game has a function where if you log out in grass or another nature tile you log back in on grass or another nature tile. If you log out on a floor tile, you log back in on the nearest nature tile. If that floor tile happens to be next to a wall near some grass well, that’s how it works. This is not a glitch, this is not a bug – this is the way the game was set up for whatever reason.
Is the way the game was built being used to rob people in a way that may not have been planned for when admin installed wellington? Yes, definitely, and I think admin should fix that in wellington because I figure it probably wasn’t the intent and agree that new people would not have known better and are being harassed by established players (or other really smart noobs).
But who are acting within the confines of the rules of the game, as these people are in this moment and until the rules are changed, are not abusing a bug. So I can’t really see admin treating them as though they did. And until this is fixed, just get the word out in global that people need floor tiles and this should stop. Heck, if you want to be super nice, do a walk around and call out the people whose bases are susceptible to this game function.
For general information purposes it might be useful to know that acts of grief are being perpetrated, but there’s no actual rule against it, so if you were looking for some sort of retribution at a high level you wont find it here unfortunately.
If they’re abusing a bug that’s another story, but it just looks like someone is being obnoxious to someone else based on what you’ve posted. Its par for the course 🙂

If you have any grass, dirt, roads, or water in your base then this is not a bug, nature tiles are by design not secure. It makes you vulnerable on the rest of the map as well.

June 9, 2018 at 1:26 pm in reply to: Robbed in Wellington. No walls destroyed but all of my stuff gone. No walls gone #8028Are there an nature tiles in your house? This would be floor tiles, grass, light water, dirt, or road tiles. Including under your bed
wow I don’t even remember lol, I hate them so much 🙂 I think you drop it on tilled dirt
A few things that may have led to this being a reasonable event:
1) do you have floor tiles (not grass, dirt, water, or road tiles) under every spot in your house including your bed? If not, people can rope up through the underground
2) did you check your walls to make sure they did not tear a wall piece and out then replace it?
if there are no nature tiles in your home, and no removed/replaced wall sections, then there may be a bug and you should submit a report to admin. Otherwise, it was just an unsecure building.
I don’t feel we need a non-pvp server. There IS such a thing as too much pvp. I’m sure every server has had a couple people who took it to a new level of horror before someone or some group finally rose up and put them down, but it’s the rising up itself that I feel motivates people towards success. The (generally false) thought that one day you will get better than that person (who is already waaay ahead of you) and singlehandedly take them to task for their infractions or the slightly more likely scenario in which you get a team of solid people who build up to deal with the issue or similar future issues – these things keep us all going. Or, even better – it always feels great when the server sets aside its issues to get rid of someone who is truly toxic, it’s a rare day, and sometimes shortlived, but it’s still a feeling that we’d miss if there was no need for collaboration. This kind of effort can also put a human face back on the people behind past conflicts and lead towards harmony (sometimes).
If pvp were gone and it was just all happy fun time building spree all the time, people would still find ways to torture each other anyway and at what cost to them? Nobody can kill them until they have no levels left , nobody can make it so they cannot rebuild somewhere else – there is NO WAY for the server to “take care of” the problem itself, and eventually it would take a chorus of people crying to admin to get it resolved. I’ve seen plenty of low level trolls that caused just as large a headache without actually killing anyone, so, while PVP is an irritant its often not the worst thing that can happen.
In all I feel the less you hand to someone for free they more they appreciate the work that goes into it and the more I feel they’ll play and contribute over the long term. Yes, some people get chased off a server for completely nonsense reasons but not all servers are like that. I do not PVP without cause because I don’t enjoy PVP, but it’s good to have it as an option when necessary.
i like the lens idea, some option to do an enhanced /trade while equipping a lens would be awesome, moreso if it didn’t announce to everyone what you were looking at. the more stuff people accumulate, the more it takes to keep it all sorted out.
