This was definitely one of the more annoying of recent changes. It’s bad in gale, but it’s worse in Wellington where re-channeling the water costs myst if the blocks fully convert back to dirt. It’s not just while digging for clay, but also can affect farming.
Thanks, these brighten my day.
Your introduction to west certainly occurred at an odd time. Some simmering resentments bubbled over between a few long time players. Unfortunate side effect of a competitive pvp game. West has its ups and downs, but in general it’s great server. It offers a bit more freedom than a few of the other servers, while restricting the most toxic behaviors like griefing roads. The established players have worked a long time to build up this server to where it is. It’s a middle ground for what you’ll see here in mystera. Most servers go either the route of almost complete supresssion of pvp, or they go the exact opposite way, and it turns into the wild west. West is a comfortable middle ground for those who enjoy a challenge, but dont wish to spend all day fighting for each parcel of land and bit of resource. Your experience on west tends to be what you make of it.
I suppose they could sell supported, built up quite a few mats, then use that to level their crafting skills. But what then? Now you have a character in maybe the mid levels stepping out to fight for the first time. If they were conservative, they may have the myst to get to lvl 20 or at most lvl thirty in skill. They have no gathering levels, poor combat skills, and a steep climb ahead of them to advance further. They still have to face the same threats as everyone else to advance. There is only so much a stockpile of gold or resources is going to offer you. The more likely scenario is that they run into some one else who is going to profit from their corpse. Maybe I’m missing something, however I’m just not seeing the pay to win model you are describing. Maybe if they have purchased an account this would be different. However, I fail to see the how a new player is going to benefit more from trading supporter than they would from doing the work on their own. This only sets them up to lose more in the long run, and helps keep the game funded.
I’m confused by what you consider pay to win in this situation. How exactly does this work in you opinion? Supporter offers 0 benefits to pvp or pvp. Support offers cosmetic benefits only. Sure a new player can sell supporter for gold, but even with this it offers very limited benefit. What is a level 5 player going to spend this gold on? Skill books? Maybe supplies to build their first base? That’s great. Now they’ve lost out on the potential skill and experience levels from mining, digging, and chopping only to get raided in a few days anyway. This game promotes competition, and working for your skills. These aren’t really things that the pay to win model you are suggesting really supports. Late game it can make some differences, but by then a successful tribe will be able to advance without it. There are so many ways to prosper in this game. We all run the gauntlet of being a newbie. How you deal with this hurdle sets the path for the rest of your time playing. To many people come into this game thinking with their swords and when they dont receive a warm welcome and instant gratification, they quit rather than adapting and learning. How many questions are asked in global daily by folk who dont take the time to read a few lines on the wiki? This game can be brutal, but those who invest the time and effort tend to succeed.

Gawain. Reason: Typo
Honey should never spoil lol.
+1 if myst divide is handled correctly. Should not be damaged based, since this would allow someone how wants to use bandage, hr, etc to build a healer to grow with the rest of the party.
Gratz man
