The catch?
Be the first to post here, the name of the game I am looking for:
Around ~2010 I had a game on my iPod Touch.
The goal of the game was to get a trail of light, that went in one direction, off screen and in the opposite side, bounce off walls and hit what I remember to be shapes.
Upon contact with the shapes they exploded into colors, sort of like fire works? You made combos and I think it was time trialed.
It may have used the accelerometer to help guide it into walls? Memory is fuzzy.
I really loved this game. Can’t recall the email I used back then to check it, or iTunes to check purchase history.
Also have been searching Google; ios games 2009 / arcade/ 2010. Lists aren’t the best. Usually top 10s-100. iTunes app store list would take long time to go through too lol…

Thanks!
April 3, 2018 at 12:40 am #6736I think you are thinking of Geometry Wars?
April 3, 2018 at 12:43 am #6737Looks very similar O.o
Alas no :C.
I don’t think you could control this trail of light, and it didn’t shoot anything.
If I remember correctly, you had to either place walls or tilt your iPhone/iPod to get the trail of light to go where you wanted it to(so maybe could control it?). But I really think you placed walls..ugh.

April 3, 2018 at 1:06 am #6740Ok, is it possibly a game called beem? I woke my brother up to ask him, he used to play something so similar…along with GW.
April 3, 2018 at 1:19 am #6742Nope :c.
The trail of light moved in one direction on the screen, and would go off screen, and come back into the screen on the opposite side.
The only way it changed direction was when it hit walls like in the imgur link. And you had to direct it to hit shapes, that exploded, and you’d make combos by doing so.
Lots of visuals.

Way off on both ;/
See my imgur potato paint image of what the game looks like for reference
The game looks VERY similar to Geometry Wars.
Except the trail of light moves freely if I remember correctly, or you direct it with walls, and does not shoot.

April 3, 2018 at 2:23 am #6758April 3, 2018 at 2:29 am #6760There’s no shooting in the game.
Just a trail of light that bounces off walls and hit shapes that explode and make combos.
April 3, 2018 at 2:38 am #6762God of light, Lazors, block the laser, Aargon Lasers…. last guesses i have towards it, not incredibly close to the drawing but best closets guesses i can come up with and hopefully maybe with these help spark something that will make people think of it…. or yourself lol
April 3, 2018 at 2:43 am #6764Nothing like those. It looked more like Geometry Wars, except a trail of light. It wasn’t solid, looked more like my paint reference. It wasn’t a lazer type game.
April 3, 2018 at 2:52 am #6766The background and some shapes looked so much like Geometry wars. But if I remember, the shapes didn’t move. But it’s like Geometry wars :C
