Try on some costumes!

It’s Halloween soon, and for the next few days most costumes have been made available to use even if you don’t have them unlocked. Reload your client to see the ‘Try it on’ button. All costumes worth 60 diamonds or under are available to everyone, and more expensive costumes can be worn if you have enough diamonds to match their price. During this event the pumpkin head appearance is available for non supporters as well 🎃

Trading Counter Dialog, Server Transfers & More

Patch day has arrived! New quality of life features include a trading window for making purchases from a counter. Rather than having to drop a quantity of items in front of the counter, it will just bring up a dialog telling you how much the item costs and asking if you want to purchase it. If you decide to make the trade then the cost is automatically taken from your inventory. (more…)

Client Update

A new client update is available. This just adds some convenience features to reduce typing, especially for mobile users. There is a ‘Commands’ button under the character screen which has a lot of handy shortcuts for commonly used commands. Additionally people who recently chatted or are nearby your character can be easily ignored, reported, or whispered from this new screen. Now through a player’s Info window you can add/remove them as friends, invite them to a party, or ignore them. Also the size of the ignore list has been increased to 50. See you next update, have fun!

Update Status

We’re back! As some of you know the ML team had been in the process of moving across the country, but we are all set up again and working on updates. Sorry for the delay! Though we have been working on small things in the background and answering contact forms as usual. Here are some things that we changed recently: (more…)

Fixing lag and a few other changes

This month I’ve mostly been working on optimizing lag and server stability due to population increases. After some hardware upgrades and new settings the stability of the servers is much better now compared to a month ago. There are far less crashes, freezes, or bad lag spikes. Still keeping an eye on things and making some adjustments as populations fluctuate.

There’s also been a few changes, mostly to game mechanics. When logging into Wellington on a floor tile it will move you outside of town rather than onto the nearest nature tile. Buckets retain their water during server resets (not just the sprite). Books can’t be researched while recently in combat. Stairs blocked by items can still be used shortly after the first attempt by stepping on them again, turning in place, or dashing. Also in case anyone missed it from a few weeks ago, pets will not attack mobs while guarding in Newbie Village. We appreciate your support, stay safe out there and have fun!
