Lots of fun changes. I already made some of this live over the last couple of days. Before I get into it, an exciting milestone I’ve been working towards all year is finally happening: The official mobile app is in early access on the Google Play Store! This is a quality of life patch to improve player experience. Let’s jump right into the changes:

• A daily quest system has been added. Right now there is only one quest: Level up! Every day you do this in a row you will gain a 20% experience bonus, up to 100% max. This helps to incentivise active play and reduce grind. If you miss a day it wont reset, but will go down by 20% instead.
• When you lose connection or log out you go back to the splash screen with a reconnect button. This is an important change for the mobile release so you don’t have to refresh the page.
• Now when you are typing a message in normal chat it will show a typing icon above your head (Thanks to EmanResu for the suggestion). It wont show the icon if you are typing a command.
• The Build button now changes to ‘Craft’ when you have selected an item that (more…)

Thanks to a work project I haven’t been able to finish the bigger things I was planning for next patch, but I wanted to implement some quick changes for now. This is a fun patch with some new content and long overdue bug fixes. It introduces 5 new NPCs and 2 game changing upgrades.

The first upgrade is ‘Precision’ which is the counter to the ‘Moving Target’ upgrade, so you will miss less. Now every mob in the game has its own unique dodge and precision values.

Your myst now resets along with your skills and upgrades when you reincarnate. To balance this I’ve added another upgrade called ‘Lasting Legacy’ which allows you to regain a portion of your spent myst after reincarnating. For example if you spent 1 million myst over your lifetime you can get up to 70% of that back for your next life. This allows some flexibility for people to transition to and from ascension builds. So you don’t have to feel stuck if you invested in ascension, and you don’t have to feel like upgrades are completely wasted if you are focusing on reincarnation. More changes below: (more…)
